epay enables Paradigm Shift in Payments

Check-in instead of Checkout with QR Code Payments at KaDeWe

QR code payments have a huge customer potential for merchants, considering leading digital wallets who use the codes include Alipay+ and WeChat Pay each with more than 1 billion users, UnionPay with more than 200 million bank cards issued outside China, and PayPal with its 431 million users worldwide.

These payment platforms allow users to “check in” to their wallet, enabling the retailer to contact and market to the customer before and after the transaction. They can also make payments and also interact with the shops.

epay enabled well-known retailer KaDeWe to offer its customers a variety of payment methods, including Alipay and WeChat, as well as traditional methods such as credit cards and girocards, which is a debit card used in Germany.
